FEATURE DETAILS

Vehicle Management

  • Register multiple motorcycles and cars (up to 5 vehicles in the free version: limit removed with the additional features subscription)
  • Set icons and images for each vehicle
  • Track cumulative expenses per vehicle
  • Record service data for each vehicle. This feature is intended for notes like tire pressure, oil levels, torque settings, etc. Samples are provided, but they are just that—samples. Please enter the information you need yourself

Touring LOGGING

  • Uses the iPhone’s GPS to capture movement logs
  • Automatically adds a stop event if stationary for a set duration (default: 3 minutes) for any reason
    • When moving again, it transitions from stop to run status and resumes logging
    • You can set names, add photos, and assign icons for each event
    • Since motion sensors determine driving status, logs are not captured when exiting the vehicle to walk, etc., and such periods are treated as stops
    • Walking around after stopping is excluded from log capture
    • Scenarios like napping with the engine running may be detected as riding status
  • Events can also be entered manually. This is intended for recording information such as breaks, refueling, maintenance, or photos.
  • Road names are obtained using location data based on the actual route traveled.
    • Road names are linked to GPS logs, allowing you to tap a road name to display it on the map, or vice versa.
    • Since road names are fetched at appropriate intervals (time or distance) via a web API, the timing of road changes is not precise (often occurring several seconds after the actual change point).
    • 【Japan Only】Road names are retrieved using OpenStreetMap data. Names not present in OpenStreetMap cannot be retrieved
    • Accurate values cannot be obtained in cases like overlapping highways and regular roads
    • Road names cannot be retrieved when outside data coverage areas
    • Road names and transition timings can be edited after the fact
    • When passing through a road previously traveled, ROADSTOCK prioritizes using recorded location data if available. For frequently traveled roads, the most recent data is used. This means even if the road name cannot be retrieved from the web service, if the road name was previously entered manually, it can be used to determine the road name.
  • Records distance and time traveled per segment. If the average speed exceeds a certain threshold, it is judged as highway driving.
  • Distance primarily uses GPS values, but odometer values can also be manually entered. Manually entered values take precedence.
  • Displays summary information such as total trip duration, driving time (excluding stops), average speed, highest elevation, fuel efficiency, and costs.
  • Allows recording of costs unrelated to specific events (e.g., tolls).
  • Lists photos attached to each event.

Touring Results Display

  • Displays the route and events (stop locations) on a map
  • Lists the roads traveled and events as a timeline
  • Displays start/end ODO, time, total duration, net ride time (total duration minus stop times), maximum speed, average speed, highest elevation point, fuel efficiency (if refueled twice or more), expenses (if registered), etc.
  • Allows registration of notes for the entire tour

Information on the road passed through

  • GPS logs (routes) can be split by road and assigned road names
  • You can attach photos and notes to each road segment
  • Road names are automatically retrieved, but since accuracy may be low, not all road names can be obtained, and retrieval is impossible outside of coverage areas, an editing function is provided
  • You can split or merge saved road segments

FAVORITE TOURING/ROAD

  • You can mark memorable tours with .
  • You can rate memorable roads with on a 5-point scale.
  • You can list or map only the tours you’ve marked with .
  • You can list or map only the roads you’ve marked with .

Fueling Log / Fuel Efficiency

  • You can register daily fueling records regardless of touring activities
  • Manage information for touring trips and regular (non-touring) trips together
  • Automatically calculates fuel efficiency based on fueling records
  • Includes aggregation features like average fuel efficiency calculation, fuel efficiency trend display, and gasoline price trend display
  • Supports importing and exporting TSV (tab-separated values) files
  • Functionally equivalent to standard fuel management apps, but without excessive features for enthusiasts. For example, trip input is unavailable, and it does not retain driving information between refuelings (e.g., whether AC was on, number of passengers, primarily highway driving). You can leave notes instead to compensate for this.

Maintenance Log

  • You can manage regular maintenance records independently of touring activities.
  • It consolidates information for both touring and non-touring periods.
  • In addition to a chronological list, it includes item-specific summary lists (e.g., engine oil filter replacements) and lists showing elapsed kilometers/days since the last action.
  • You can register tasks (ToDo) and convert them to completed items upon execution. Use this as a memo for issues noticed during touring (e.g., unusual noises, poor handling) that cannot be addressed immediately
  • You can filter by specific maintenance item
  • Includes a reminder function for the next scheduled maintenance (requires an additional feature subscription).
  • All maintenance items are manually entered, but copying and reusing them is possible. (While some apps specialized in maintenance management provide pre-defined items, we believe copying and reusing is sufficient because the level of detail people want to manage varies, making it difficult to prepare a perfect template in advance.)

Expense Log

  • Manage expense information per vehicle (taxes, insurance, accessory purchases, services not strictly maintenance, etc.)
  • You can aggregate expenses by expense category
  • You can aggregate expenses as per vehicle, including touring expenses
  • While there is no reminder function, you can copy past records for reuse

GPX Log Export and Import

  • You can export touring logs as GPX files
  • You can import GPS logs in GPX format. During import, events are automatically inserted based on point-by-point speed data and the log is segmented into sections. However, since GPX logs lack motion sensor information, they may include walking segments and are therefore not accurate
  • You can add road information to imported logs (though you can also re-add it to regular logs, it likely won’t be very useful). Note that due to Web API limitations, this feature cannot be applied to an entire tour at once. It must be done section by section. Also, using it multiple times in a short period may fail due to Web API constraints.
